Goodnight, Manhattan (Sleepy Girl Mocktail)

Goodnight, Manhattan (Sleepy Girl Mocktail)

Introducing the Goodnight, Manhattan, a sophisticated twist on the Sleepy Girl Mocktail recipe that has been trending on TikTok. This non-alcoholic cocktail made with Three Spirit Nightcap and All The Bitter Lavender elegantly mimics the beloved Manhattan, offering a complex, layered flavor profile perfect for a refined evening wind-down.
nightcap recipe

The Goodnight, Manhattan features 50ml of Three Spirit Nightcap, with dreamy ashwagandha, valerian root and hops, delivering a spicy, woody and subtly sweet taste. This is complemented by 2ml of tart cherry juice, renowned for its natural melatonin content (and replacing the traditional sweet vermouth of a Manhattan). Classic aromatic bitters are swapped out for All The Bitter Lavender bitters which pair nicely with cherry and infuse the drink with calming ashwagandha, skullcap, passionflower and chamomile.

This non-alcoholic cocktail is designed to be enjoyed as part of your nightly routine, helping you to relax and prepare for restful sleep. Whether you choose to enhance it with magnesium for added relaxation (à la the original Sleepy Girl Mocktail recipe) or prefer it as is, the Goodnight, Manhattan offers a delightful and elevated end to your day.

Ingredients

Serves 1
ml oz
Three Spirit Nightcap 50 2
Tart cherry juice 25  1
3 dashes All The Bitter Lavender 0.0% bitters
1 tbsp magnesium powder (optional, see note)

How

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir for 15-20 seconds (see note below if using magnesium powder). Strain into a coupe glass, express and discard an orange peel over the glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Recipe note

A NOTE ON MAGNESIUM POWDER

Adding magnesium powder to this drink (as is called for in the original Sleepy Girl Mocktail) will add to its unwinding effects, but isn't necessary, and might change the flavour considerably, depending on what brand of magnesium you're using.
Three Spirit Nightcap and All The Bitter Lavender bitters contain active ingredients like ashwagandha, valerian root, lemon balm, skullcap and passion flower.

If you do want to add magnesium powder to this, we would recommend shaking the drink with ice instead of stirring, or first blending the liquids with a handheld frother before adding ice and stirring to ensure that it dissolves completely.
